5 June, 7 pm: German Non-Fiction Slam at Technoseum Mannheim. Six minutes, one book, one stage – how do you present non-fiction in a way that brings the audience to their feet? Eight accomplished slammers will take up the challenge. Slammer Sandra Da Vina will moderate the event, which will also be broadcast as a livestream.

10 June, 6 pm: Food for thought for today, Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Berlin. On the eve of the award ceremony, the nominees discuss their books. An exchange of new research results and unusual perspectives on contemporary issues. In cooperation with the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels e. V.

10 June, 6 pm: Reading against polarization? The role of non-fiction books in the democratic discourse, THE NEW INSTITUTE, Hamburg. Dr. Astrid Séville (Professor for Political Science at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg) discusses this question with guests from science, politics and the book industry. 11 June, 6 pm: Award ceremony in the Small Hall of the Elbphilharmonie concert hall. Find out who receives the German Non-Fiction Prize 2024 in the Elbphilharmonie concert hall or follow the live broadcast. Journalist Katja Gasser (ORF) will host the event.
