11 June, 7 pm: German Non-Fiction Slam at Technoseum Mannheim. Six minutes, one book, one stage – how do you present non-fiction in a way that brings the audience to their feet? Eight accomplished slammers will take up the challenge. Slammer Sandra Da Vina will moderate the event.

16 June, 6 pm: Food for thought for today, Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften, Berlin. On the eve of the award ceremony, the nominees discuss their books. An exchange of new research results and unusual perspectives on contemporary issues. Julia Fischer, Ute Frevert and Christoph Markschies will moderate the event.
Find out who receives the German Non-Fiction Prize 2025 in the Elbphilharmonie concert hall or follow the live broadcast. The event is hosted by Katty Salié (ZDF aspekte). The eight nominees will be presented in short films and Katty Salié will talk to jury spokesperson Prof. Dr. Patricia Rahemipour (Institute for Museum Research, Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) about this year's non-fiction selection. The ceremony is opened by Senator Dr. Carsten Brosda, Minister of Culture and Media of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, and Karin Schmidt-Friderichs, president of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels.
